While newer technologies such as top drive systems have gained popularity, rotary table systems still serve as a reliable and proven method for rotating the drill string during drilling operations.

When machinists, shop owners, and process engineers compare a Rotary Table to a dividing head, they’re usually trying to solve a practical production question: What is the most efficient way to rotate a workpiece accurately for milling, drilling, slotting, or gear-like indexing tasks? Both tools are used to position parts at specific angles, but they are not interchangeable in the way many buyers assume.
